| Tips From the Pros
Putting Drill:
A great contest to improve your short putting confidence is to go to the putting green with 1 ball and play "Dropback". After each putt that you do not make, you drop the ball back 1 putter's length from the hole. So instead of lagging up 1 foot from the hole and having a tap in, you will now have a 4' putt left. The goal is to putt 9 holes in 18 putts or less. Your short putting skills and confidence will improve quickly.
Golf Etiquette: Bunker Courtesy
Did you ever see sandy footprints going across the green? This is because the player who hit a bunker shot did not know to knock the sand off the bottom of their shoes after leaving the bunker and before stepping onto the green. Proper etiquette is to use your club and tap the soles of your shoes 2-3 times each, once you leave the bunker prior to walking on the green.
More on the Rules of Golf:
Did you ever consider that golf is just as much a game of rules as it is swinging a club and striking the ball? Of course you have, but many of us sometimes forget.
