After twenty years of aquatics experience, Instructor Kami has all the skills needed to teach you or your child to swim. Kami has taught private and group swim lessons in South Florida for the past thirteen years. Kami started as a competitive swimmer and springboard diver at the age of eight. By the age of sixteen, she was a certified Life Guard, Water Safety Instructor, and SCUBA Diver. Kami finished her competitive swimming career as a collegiate athlete. Kami then joined the police service and worked as a Detective investigating major crimes. During her career, Kami was a certified Advanced Police Diver and was awarded 2009 Officer of the Year, two Meritorious Service awards, and a Life Saving award.
Today, Kami is a proud mother of two children. Kami has witnessed the tragedy of drowning first hand and is a dedicated proponent of teaching early water safety/survival skills. Kami’s experience and knowledge enables her to overcome any instructional obstacle through an empathetic, fun, and reward based approach. Unlike many instructors, Kami has had a lifetime of real-world experience ranging from basic swim instruction to high-stress waterborne lifesaving. Above all, Kami’s goal is to provide you and your family with quality instruction that will ensure a lifetime of water safety and carefree enjoyment.
